This chapter is written on the implications of the India-US Strategic Alliance on the lives of workers, peasants, middle classes and common citizens of the country. This holds relevance as the country is now awaiting the results of a soon to be held trust vote on July 22. By all accounts, the UPA government has termed the Indo-US Nuclear Deal as the cornerstone of the India-US strategic partnership.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has said it in clear words that India would stand shoulder-to-shoulder and head-to-head with the George Bush administered United States in taking care of the world's problems. Little does Manmohan Singh realise that the world's problems themselves have the United States to blame for.
